Overall, our approach is to make products that are sustainable, by being timeless ‘not fashionable’ only for one season, as well as high quality that makes the product last.
Shangies innersoles are made of natural jute, a material that is natural and biodegradable. It is harvested from plant fibers. The material has very nice properties also in the sense it is very comfortable in the summer with its breathable and sweat transportation properties. It has a cooling effect in the hot summer days and yet provides warmth in cooler temperatures and it can be washed.
The straps are comfortable to wear and made of polyester, it's a conscious choice to enhance longevity. Cotton straps lose elasticity over time. By incorporating polyester, we ensure durability, extending the lifespan of your sandals and reducing the need for frequent replacements.
Our outsoles are made from EVA - a flexible, lightweight, shock-absorbing, and water-resistant material. The durability of EVA ensures our sandals stand the test of time, reducing the need for frequent replacement.
Shangies comes without packaging which support our aim for zero-waste.
